Council is launching a new graffiti removal program in partnership with the Department of Justice. Basically, supervised teams will be dispatched to remove large displays of graffiti in Cardinia Shire as part of their community service orders.
The State Government’s Crime Prevention Minster Andrew McIntosh will be launching the partnership with Cardinia Shire Mayor Cr Brett Owen.
The launch will be taking place in Pakenham (in Manhattan Arcade in Main Street) and will include a team performing a demonstration of the graffiti removal.
Council will also be introducing a new graffiti removal kit for residents and traders, which will allow them to act on graffiti on personal property more quickly.
