Pakenham “Super Kid” Maddison was a national finalist of the inaugural Super Kid Awards, winning a Samsung tablet to assist with her education.
Background:
Maddison is in year 8 and is wiser than her years. She has a natural ability to include everyone and notices when people are not a part of something. During her recent Irish dancing classes she would take it upon herself to help the younger and less experienced dancers to show them the correct techniques and encourage them to keep persevering. Maddie helps others at school with homework asking them home to study together so that she can help those struggling with basic maths and English. She participates in many activities in and out of school and is extremely well organised even making sure that her 3 brothers have everything that they need when getting ready each day. Maddie is very concerned about her friends and tries very hard to be fair with spending time equally with them. She always looks out for others and will often sit on the bench at floorball if it means that someone else can have a go.
