The school is holding their Careers Speed Dating program today. about 150 Lyndhurst Secondary college year 9 , students will attended a program hosted by The Beacon Foundation and careers department.
“Through the Beacon Foundation and the Careers Department there is an incredible and unique partnership with companies within our own and wider community. The speed Career Day events allow students to hear firsthand about an array of career fields from employees at these corporations,” stated Trish Chandler.
Students visit approximately 6 stations where they are able to listen to professionals representing areas such as marketing, sales, human resources and law. The rotations at each station last approximately 20 minutes and give students a chance to experience the business world first hand by asking questions about topics such as training required, high and lowlights of the day to day work as well as salary range expectations.
